Introducing…Intergenerational TelePals! High school/college students who offer comfort to elders with telephone reassurance while simultaneously building their own self-confidence and communication skills. The dramatic rise in seniors whose health is at risk due to social isolation prompts urgent expansion of TelePals. Students are also struggling with loneliness and uncertainty, missing friends and routines. Regularly scheduled phone calls give lonely elders and struggling students a creative way to get through the COVID-19 crisis, together.
