Seniors in Service would like to turn the spotlight to one of our amazing volunteers: Judy Diver! While some have been ‘stuck’ at home, the same cannot be said for Judy! Ms. Diver works with Wilderness Lake Estates Women’s Club in Land O’ Lakes and has been busy helping others during quarantine with the help of Grace Casola, Peggy Jones, Jane Curlough, Claire Thompson, Connie Landon.
Judy volunteers with us through our RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) in Pasco, which enables her to use her unique skills to help those in need. In this situation, Judy has been hard at work in her own home using her crafting skills for good! She has sewn masks for local organizations and made over 200 “Thinking of You” cards for Seasons Hospice.
The masks will be going to the Father and Son Love Free Food Pantry in Land O’ Lakes! During COVID-19, the pantry continues to offer programs like 7 Days of Lunch for the Family, Family Love Boxes, and personalized birthday cakes/cupcakes and toys for children under the age of 10.
