Bridging Generations through Volunteer Service

Volunteers

Seniors in Service depends upon two types of volunteers:

Senior Volunteers serve through federally-initiated Senior Corps programs. These volunteers, aged 60 and older, provide our client services through the Foster Grandparent Program and the Senior Companion Program.

These volunteers commit to 20 hours of service each week and must be accepted through a formal enrollment process.

Income qualified volunteers receive a modest tax-free stipend, plus travel reimbursement and other benefits.  See Eligibility Requirements.

Community Volunteers are generous adults who offer their time and wisdom to serve seniors through our Bill Payer Program and Volunteer Caregivers Program. These volunteers are recruited directly by Seniors in Service and serve at their convenience for a couple of hours per month.  See Eligibility Requirements.

For further information about serving as a volunteer, please call our office at (813) 932-5228.

Seniors in Service has an active Volunteer Recognition Program
