Office Worker Dog Handler Cat Handler
Office Worker Work Location: 1528 27th St SE, Ruskin, FL 33570Purpose: The office worker is usually the first person a visitor sees and speaks with on the phone. If experienced, the office worker may be asked to do computer work.Responsibilities and Duties: Answer the phone. Check email several times per day. Get pet food from the storage area for distribution to those who are in need, registered, and financially challenged. If previously experienced in Word and Excel, the Office Worker may be asked to do computer related work.Qualifications: Must be a “people person.” Must be able to easily lift and handle 25 pounds. Commitment Expected: At least five hours a week.Training: Volunteers are expected to be knowledgeable of and in compliance with the C.A.R.E. Volunteer Handbook. Cat Handler Work Location: 1528 27th St SE, Ruskin, FL 33570Purpose: Cat Handlers deal directly with the cats at C.A.R.E. and their welfare. Cat Handlers also help to ensure that potential adopters are good fits for the cat being considered for adoption.Responsibilities: Keeping the areas, including the litter boxes clean. Feed and water the cats. Wash hands frequently when moving from one area to another. Assist in the adoption process. Turn air conditioning and lights on or off as needed.Qualifications: Commitment Expected: At least four hours a week, more is goodTraining: All Training is on the job and starts on the first day and continues for about 30 days.
