BayCare Partners With Health Buddies To Improve Lives
When health challenges leave seniors feeling isolated, having a trusted companion can make all the difference. That’s why BayCare has partnered with Seniors in Service’s Health Buddies Program, pairing volunteers with older adults to provide companionship, encouragement, and support that improve both health outcomes and quality of life.
BayCare is helping adults with chronic conditions improve their mental and physical well-being by providing three years of funding for our Health Buddies program. Thanks to their support, Health Buddies will provide encouragement and health coaching for 1,240 individuals who struggle with loneliness and isolation due to their chronic health condition. Health Buddies offer friendly, informative phone calls to help individuals enhance their health knowledge, reduce preventable hospital visits, and connect with community resources that can improve their quality of life and self-sufficiency.
Do You Know Someone Who Could Use a Health Buddy?
Whether you’d like to volunteer or refer a client, the Health Buddies Program brings care and companionship to those who need it most.
