Purpose changes everything. At Seniors in Service, that belief shapes how we show up each week — setting goals, holding ourselves accountable, and staying focused on what matters most: ending loneliness through service. As we enter a new year and our 40th anniversary, this vision becomes even clearer. When people step into service, they don’t just help others — they find meaning, connection, and a reason to keep showing up.
A Message From Robin Ingles
At Seniors in Service, setting goals and resolutions is not just a beginning-of-the-year tradition. In fact, our team sets intentional SMART goals to help us stay focused EVERY SINGLE WEEK. We meet each Monday to share our goals as a team, focusing on being brave, holding ourselves accountable, and exploring how we can support one another. On Friday, we celebrate the goals we accomplished!
This year, our theme is: “Discover Purpose. End Loneliness.” We know we have the solution to the loneliness epidemic. We see it every day.
It’s putting yourself in service to someone else that gives life meaning. We just need to reach more people with this extraordinary medicine.
As we enter our 40th year, I recognize that we are so blessed with grant funding that sustains us. However, we need more — more people, more funding, and greater reach. Please think of who you know who might be attracted to this mission, who might resonate with our grand vision to “Discover Purpose. End Loneliness.” We need board members to help us craft the strategic vision, and we need passionate donors who can help us push forward.
We can make Tampa Bay a place where no one is lonely and there’s no problem — no matter how big — that doesn’t have a group of passionate volunteers raising their hands to say, “I can help!” and through that service, find purpose and meaning in their own lives. Please join us in 2024 in whatever way feels right for you!
