Junior League of St. Pete Helps Children Develop Confidence in the Classroom

Classroom Grandparent volunteer tutors a student using a computer to practice letter recognition and phonics skills.

Confidence is one of the most important tools a child can carry into the classroom. Through a partnership with Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, the Junior League of St. Petersburg is helping children strengthen their skills, build confidence, and discover the joy of learning.

The Junior League of St. Petersburg is helping set students up for success! They donated $1,000 to support Emotional Intelligence training for our Classroom Grandparent Volunteers in St. Pete. Providing our volunteers with additional skills they can utilize in the classroom to help students feel safe, confident, and excited about learning is one of our top priorities to ensure academic achievement.
