Kindness Kit Project Puts a Smile on Seniors Faces

Seniors in Service volunteers display Kindness Kits filled with hygiene supplies and pet food for homebound seniors in Pasco County.

Small acts of kindness can make a powerful difference for someone feeling isolated or struggling to get by. Thanks to generous community donations and dedicated volunteers, 130 homebound seniors in Pasco County received Kindness Kits filled with hygiene items, pet food, and heartfelt handwritten cards. More than just supplies, these kits delivered comfort, connection, and a reminder that someone cares.

Special thanks to Grace's Food Pantry, Cindy Carleton and the folks at the Galen Wilson Senior Center, ForCare Medical-Dermatology and Marianne Brawer for the generous donations for our Kindness Kit project! For two hours, wonderful volunteers packed kits filled with hygiene supplies and food for their pets, for 130 homebound seniors! Each senior received a handwritten card, provided by a Seniors in Service volunteer. These supplies went out with Volunteer Way’s September Brown Bag delivery to brighten the day of many Pasco County seniors!
