Join us to learn about new VA services, community support, and health topics tailored for women veterans. Come hear wellness experts discuss how hormones and stress affect our health. You can expect light socializing with small group connections. We recommend dressing comfortably for short exercises like Tai Chi, breathing exercises, and stress-relieving modalities. We’ll provide lunch, wellness activities, and opportunities for raffles and prizes throughout the day.

Chaplain Melody S. Kidd is a dedicated advocate for veterans, bringing years of experience and a compassionate approach to her role. A Board-Certified Chaplain at JAHVAH, she specializes in Grief Recovery and is currently assigned to the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Domiciliary Units, where she provides spiritual support, group sessions, and individual visits for veterans. With a background in military contract services, Chaplain Kidd has worked internationally to educate and support veterans, making her a trusted resource in the veteran community. She is also an ordained minister, endorsed through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and continues to serve as a pastor in the Tampa Bay area.

Dr. Naja Chikazunga-Martin, PT, DPT, MHA, is a dedicated healthcare professional with a focus on empowering veterans—especially women veterans—to live healthy, fulfilling lives. With over 16 years as a licensed physical therapist and National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Dr. Chikazunga-Martin combines her expertise in pelvic rehabilitation and holistic wellness to address veterans’ unique health needs. Her integrative approach includes health coaching, pelvic health therapy, and lifestyle medicine, supporting veterans through physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Dr. Chikazunga-Martin’s expertise is especially valuable for women navigating health transitions, like menopause, where she provides tools for self-care, stress management, and overall wellness. At this veterans’ event, Dr. Chikazunga-Martin brings her extensive experience and compassion, empowering veterans with actionable strategies for lasting wellness.

This event is open to women veterans as well as the women in their lives who support them. Please feel free to share this invitation with any women veterans you know. With Florida home to the third-largest population of women veterans in the country, this event is a unique opportunity to make a difference—especially for the 14,000 women veterans in Tampa Bay who may not yet be connected with VA services.
