Engaging volunteers is our speciality.
Seniors in Service connects individuals to the volunteer opportunity of their dreams. Our volunteers use their interests and expertise in order to make a difference in the community. Some examples of our diverse volunteer opportunities include sttocking food at a food pantry, checking-in on a new friend via telephone reassurance, and helping a child learn to love reading. Our Retired & Senior Volunteer Program connects those aged 55 and up to service opportunities that suit their needs and skills. Learn more about how RSVP Volunteer, Judy Diver used her crafting skills to make a difference!
TelePals keeps people socially engaged while staying physically distant. Some of our TelePal pairs are intergenerational. Reaching out across generations helps both individuals make sense of the current world we live in. Learn more about the intergenerational aspect of our program below!
Our volunteers help children not only learn how to read, but learn to love reading. Learn more about how our volunteers have been offering close, personal support during this time of mandatory social distancing by clicking below.
Operation: Veteran Connect engages volunteers who are veterans or military family members who feel a special calling to serve other veterans. Learn about how one OVC volunteer, Sarai Simmons, answered that call and served her community by clicking below!
