Tutor & Mentor Children as a Classroom Grandparent
The Classroom Grandparent program connects caring adults age 55+ with young students who need extra support in Pre-K through 3rd grade. Volunteers commit 15–20 hours per week during the school year to work in the same classroom, providing one-on-one tutoring, encouragement, and emotional support. With training, ongoing guidance, and even a modest stipend for income-eligible seniors, Classroom Grandparents become trusted mentors who help children build confidence and succeed in school.
Be the Hero Students Need
This program is more than tutoring, it’s about connection. Students gain a dependable, loving role model. Teachers receive much-needed classroom support. Volunteers experience renewed purpose and joy. And the entire community benefits when children grow up stronger, more confident, and better prepared for the future. By bridging generations, Classroom Grandparents uplift lives and build a brighter tomorrow.
