The Hope Fund is a 100% volunteer organization helping children in Wimauma or other parts of south county that ask for our help.

All money we raise or are given goes to the children or their families in need. We have no salaries. We are a 501c-3 organization in Sun City Center.

We help children have a better life through education and enrichment activities. Our website is: www.thehopefundscc.org
Our programs are all done by volunteers including mentors, tutors, readers, and chess players all one on one with a child K through 5th grade. Small group programs are Creative Art, Second Step Program (physical, mental, and emotional development), and Drugs, Human Trafficking, and Bullying. We also have a Kids Marathon (good health–exercise). We are always looking for mentors, tutors, readers, and chess players. We also welcome people with new program ideas.

WHAT DOES A VOLUNTEER DO?

A volunteer works with a child one hour a week from 3:30- 4:30 p.m.
No special educational background is needed. We have people from all walks of life. The only requirement is to enjoy helping a child in grades K-5th grade. Readers work on Monday, tutors and mentors work on Wednesday. Chess players work on Friday. All programs are in Wimauma.
