The Nearly New Shop is truly a “mini department store” carrying a wide variety of donated items! Shoppers can find a beautiful collectible or a plain and practical pair of work jeans, furniture, decorative lamps, mirrors, art, electronics, vacuum cleaners, speakers, men’s or women’s clothing, jewelry, linens and bedding, kitchen utensils, dishes, pots & pans, sewing and craft supplies, books and office supplies too!

When people shop at the Nearly New Shop, they are contributing to the funds that go towards scholarships and grants through the Interfaith Social Action Council. Thus far, the Nearly New Shop has contributed over four million dollars to the Interfaith Council Social Action Council from sales of donated items.

The Interfaith Social Action Council awards more than $160,000 in grants each year to South Shore service organizations with an approved IRS 501(c)3 designation needing funds to accomplish specific goals. The purpose of the grants is to benefit residents of our service area bounded by the Alafia River on the North, the Hillsborough County line on the East and South, and the Tampa Bay shoreline on the West.

Nearly New and Interfaith Social Action Council have been a force for good in the South Shore area for decades. The store serves the community as a friendly and welcoming place to shop for bargains and a place to see friends and neighbors.

Nearly New follows state guidelines for Covid-19 including social distancing, limited occupancy, special Covid-19 cleaning procedures, and directional signs and dividers to limit and control the flow of foot traffic.  Volunteers wear face masks and gloves. Hand sanitizer is readily available.
