Hope Villages of America provides hope restoration with dignity to those in need through innovative programs and services. There are opportunities to serve in Clearwater, Gulport and Largo. Here are some of their volunteer opportunities:
- Food Bank: Provides food and basic need items; Volunteers are needed to sort donations, interview guests, stock food warehouse, drive, clean, and administrative duties
- Grace House: Provides emergency housing for homeless families; Volunteer support is needed to organize storage room, tutor students, landscaping, general maintenance, youth program, administrative
- The Haven: Domestic Violence Center-organize storage room, landscaping, youth program, general maintenance, cooking, legal advocate, hotline advocate, direct service advocate (training required)
- Interviewer: help in the interview room with data entry (must be able to commit to a reoccurring set time)
- Warehouse: Help in the warehouse with sorting food donations, packing, and distribution
- Truck Driver: Drivers who do light pick-up (bread)
- Housekeeping: people to help clean during and after hours
- Food Packer: Food A person with a strong back to help load food crates
- Food Distributer: Distribute Food to food bank clients
- Mobile Food Truck: Distribute prepacked food boxes to clients in the local community
