The mission of the Christmas Toy Shop Project is to provide both new and refurbished toys to less fortunate children in South Pinellas County. Throughout the year volunteers become real-life Christmas elves restoring donated toys to like-new condition so no child is without a Christmas. Here are some of the service areas at the Christmas Toy Shop:

  • Toy Washers: All plastic toys need to be washed thoroughly
  • Game Checkers: All games are checked for missing pieces and parts assembled and readied for packing
  • Doll Groomers: Wash and comb doll’s hair; Select clothing, blankets, and pillow; Dress and package doll
  • Painters: Sand and paint various items, doll furniture, puzzles, rocking horses
  • Bicycle Repair person: (You don’t need to be an expert) Bicycle repair including tires, brakes, gears, and paint
  • Yard Person: Cut grass, trim shrubs, and weed as needed. Clean up debris and pick up trash on property
