Here’s how Seniors in Service is helping Tampa Bay Seniors stay healthy, safe, and connected:
TelePals offers friendly conversation and wellness checks that tells a lonely senior, “You have a friend who cares.” Your gift helps someone’s elderly parent or widowed grandfather or favorite aunt who is feeling alone and scared.
High school and college students are also struggling with loneliness and uncertainty, missing friends and routines. Intergenerational TelePals gives lonely elders and struggling students a creative way to get through this crisis, together.
Lonely elders get hot, home-delivered meals purchased from local restaurants through Dining Out At Home. Your gift helps safely serve even more seniors in need while supporting our local economy.
Readers in Motion is helping children & parents adapt to the new reality of virtual learning. Teachers report children in e-Learning may feel more intimidated to ask for help. More than ever, parents need tools that make it easy to read with their children at home. Your gift helps with activities & incentives for participating in online reading challenges tied to homework assignments that children and parents can do together.
Donate by Friday, May 22, 2020 at midnight ET, and Suncoast Credit Union will match your gift, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $50,000.
That means your gift of:
$10 = $20 of impact.
$50 = $100 of impact.
$500 = $1,000 of impact.
Any amount helps fight isolation & hunger for vulnerable seniors.
Any amount helps reduce learning loss for struggling children .
They need us now more than ever.
Your gift will go to Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc, a nonprofit 501(c)3 that helps over 5,000 individuals in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties. Learn more: www.SeniorsinService.org.
